What I mean by “Buy and Hold” is that you buy a piece of real estate, and then old it for the long term. While holding it, you rely on income that the property produces, such as rental income.
My personal experiences have been much better buying and holding real estate rather than doing other things, such as rehab or flipping. The rehab or flipping may momentarily provide a large return, but it won’t over the long haul unless you’re continually beating on the task to push it forward. I certainly don’t want to try to semi-retire, having to continue doing that. Instead, I prefer the idea of setting all the wheels in motion and then just shepherding them a little over time, while the money rolls in.
